In September, the company successfully brought 2.6 miles of water main replacements online. In August, it replaced 1.9 miles of water main in San Jose.

SJW Completes Montego Tank Replacement Project

New water tank incorporates modern seismic standards to ensure system reliability.

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 26, 2024 – San Jose Water (“SJW” or “the Company”), a wholly owned subsidiary of SJW Group (NYSE: SJW), recently completed its water tank replacement project at Montego Station. 

The original Montego Station tank was installed in 1970. The tank’s nearly 50-year-old design and installation predated modern earthquake-resistant structural integrity requirements, critical to today’s infrastructure.
